DITTO at OOSC in Nice, 4 June 2025: Marine Knowledge at the Fingertips of our Communities: Designing Digital Twins of the Ocean
Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTO) presents transformative opportunities for advancing sustainable ocean management. The townhall, through panel discussions and interaction with diverse stakeholders, including scientists, policymakers, and community representative will focus on key themes such as: Sustainable Ocean Management, Observations, Data Ecosystems and Interoperability, DTO Architecture, and Governance, Equity, and Capacity Building. Through this townhall, participants will collaborate on strategies to harness the power of digital twin technology, advancing collective efforts toward healthier, more resilient oceans for future generations. The townhall is proposed jointly by the European Commission, the DITTO Decade programme and the G7 Future of the Seas and Ocean working group.

DITTO International Summit 2023
The second DITTO Summit will take place in conjunction with the 2023 World Ocean Week in Xiamen, China, on November 9-12, 2023. The Summit will enable sharing of the latest advances and discussion of future joint actions. The conference is expected to bring together about 400 scholars and practitioners from around the world to present their research and foster potential collaboration.

DITTO International Summit 2022
Experts and policy makers assembled at the first International Digital Twins of the Ocean Summit, May 2022 in London, with 90 attendees from 18 countries present at Lancaster House and around 400 attendees from over 40 countries online. The two-day Summit explored progress in the development of Digital Twins of the Ocean capability, considered their requirements for infrastructure, described potential applications and defined a path forward.
