This WG will support the beginning of the value chain of a Digital Twin Ocean, i.e. the observing and data system that can feed into the data lake and the models feeding the digital twin. This WG will work with the ocean observing system to assure that the right variables are observed (e.g. Essential Ocean Variables) at the right place at the right time and with good enough quality to be fit for purpose for the digital twin ocean.
