This WG will explore how models and data sciences can be applied for decision-making and will identify requirements for further scientific and technological advances in modeling tools to meet the needs of future Digital Twins. Predictive and data-driven modeling are a fundamental component of Digital Twins, creating information about the future that meets the users’ needs. The role of dynamic ocean system models, subsystems and AI/ML opportunities varies significantly between Digital Twins.
